How I can help

My role is to help you make sense of the issues that have led you to seek therapy. I do this by providing a safe place for you to bring the concerns that are troubling you, helping you to explore your thoughts, experiences and feelings, some of which may feel overwhelming.  Together we work to consider both your presenting symptoms, such as anxiety and depression, as well as their possible underlying causes, thinking about your present situation to see how it may be connected to events from the past.

If you are interested in exploring what it might be like to work with me as your therapist, please call or email me or use the contact form by clicking below. We can arrange an initial consultation to find out whether the therapy and counselling I offer could be useful to you.

During the initial consultation, I would invite you to talk about what brings you to therapy. I understand that the nature of what you have to talk about might be difficult or uncomfortable to discuss.  We may decide to continue preliminary appointments for a few meetings, giving us time to get to know each other, and for you to decide if you would like to begin therapy with me. There is no commitment to ongoing work together at this stage.

Once agreed, the sessions would take the form of ongoing weekly meetings at the same time and day in my therapy room in Shepherd's Bush (London W12).  Each session lasts 50 minutes and the therapy would be open-ended.  The length of the therapy would be discussed as we proceed.

Fees

The fee for the initial consultation is £75. Fees for ongoing sessions will be arranged during the initial consultation.
